just never got around to joining the VetFriends.com, he always talked about it but his sickness was getting very serious his time was
running out, i am so sorry we did not get to do it. I did promise him that I would acknowledge it too them that you did serve and would be
a member (even now ) that he is no longer with us. John passed away on Nov, 11-21-22 with military honors. It was a sad day for me
and his children but we are pushing forward to keep his spiritual soul alive. John was 87 Thank you, Judith Brady God bless you all

MACV Phu Bai 1965-66

Hello,
I am searching for a gentleman that served as a MACV advisor during the Vietnam war. I do not his name, just general information of him. He served with MACV, based in Phu Bai from 1964 to 1966, middle aged in his mid-late 40s, tall, Caucasian, He was my wife’s father we have been searching for him for many years.
He was a MACV officer based at Phu Bai FOB-1 between 1964 and 1966. He spent most of his time in Hue, and in early 1966 he was killed or wounded on the road from Phu Bai to Hue and was taken to Okinawa. Given the tie and location he was part of one of the MACV teams.

Anybody that served on the USS Great Sitkin AE-17 during The Vietnam War, can you email me at shasha1120@brighthouse.com send me pictures of ship because it no longer is listed, since they dismantle her, and I would really like to see her so I can hang her up again and if anybody remembers me back then I was a radioman then if possible. also I was on her when she was drydocking in Hoboken NJ. they were removing asbestos off the ship.
