I think they had one there when I first got there and saw it only a couple of times but Spook was where the jets were C123's were on the other side near the gate to go off base

I also remember "SPOOKY" the C47 that when it fired looked like a solid red line, awesome. I was TDY @ Bien Hoa when Phan Rang was almost over run and all the mechanics were all lined by the big berm ready for them and Spook took care of them

Chow hall was a disaster run by Vietnamese I swear powdered milk, powdered green eggs, I only drank the coffee. I lived on sea rats the entire time I was there that I copped off some of the aircraft, also copped steaks and beer
