Hi! I've been doing some research on the role of African-American troops in WWII, and was wondering if there are any surviving members of the 614th Tank Destroyer Battalion who might still be available to discuss their experiences.

Looking for anyone that I served with in 1968 in Vietnam. I carried an M-60 then. Don't remember anyone that I was with. Please Help. I was just 18yrs at that time. My gunner that I worked with was 23yrs old. Spend all of my time in the woods. I think I was in "C" company. Remember that I came home in April or May of 1968. Was getting paid and the pay master told me that I had to go back to main base with him. He didn't know why but I had to go home.
I am going to ask my Dad but we are also searching for anyone who served around the same time or locations as him. His name is Eugene Funk and he served in Vietnam from 1966-1968 (Danang and Dong Ha Areas). If this helps at all, please email me at afunk555@gmail.com Reply To 13295
