I have written a song for the soldiers...trying to get it recorded. My son was 101
airborne, fought in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Most of these boys are about 20 years old.
I got to know so many of them, wrote to them, sent them boxes and grew to love them.
Even organized a parade in my home town for them on Memorial Day.
Our soldiers are the brave and the good in this country!
They are the reason we enjoy our freedom now. They should be treated like the
heroes that they are. You can read my song in songwriter 101 thank you for
defending this country is the post. I love this country and I love all of our soldiers, past and present.
They put the
apples in the American pie.

* Many will miss your rendition of this Ragged Ole Flag, this
memorial day brother, but the parade this year is being dedicated to
you for your dedication to home and country.
I know you and Adrian are together.
I sadly miss you brother, with love,

M. Anderson,
When I think of Memorial Day, it brings to my mind a Holiday to come together with family, loved ones & friends, to reflect, honor and give thanks to the many heroic men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom and great country. Furthermore, it is a day to give thanks to our active military and veterans, who have and currently are protecting our American nation. Thanks to all our U.S. military personnel, both past and present.
