Tom Joyce is a native of New Jersey, and currently resides in Somerset,Pennsylvania. Joyce enlisted in the Army, June of 1964 where after basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey, and jump school at Fort Benning, Georgia, was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Joyce served with the 101st Brigade Separate A/Co. 1/327th from 1964 to 1966, with a tour in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966. The author views the soldiers he served with and the ones he has met as the true heros and they will share a friendship and bond that will last a lifetime. The stories and events shared in this book detail one man's ordeal and the lifelong effect it has had on him.
