Hot racking:
Reference to sailors using the same beds on ships with fewer racks than sailors. One goes on shift and one comes off shift and uses the same rack.

Combat gear worn by todays troops.

Bunny boots:
White rubber boots originally worn by bomber crews flying at high altitudes and later issued to Air Force security troops in cold weather climates.

Tail end charlie:
Last plane in a formation. Less used, tail gunner.

Pot:
Helmet
|
|||
Eagle driver:
F-15 pilot
|
|||
Desk pilot:
Air Force - any troop with a desk job.

Office poge:
Air Force - clerk

|||
Ramp tramp:
Air Force flightline security guard.

Alert shack:
Bomber crew quarters on the flightline for instant response to nuclear-laden bombers on alert status.

Full throttle:
Air Force - Busting ass to get a job done. Gungho.
|
|||
Cruisin:
Air Force - doing just enough to get along and no more.
|
|||
Sadsack:
A less than gungho troop.
|
|||
Top kick:
First Sergeant

Hawk:
Strong wind, usually freezing cold The hawks up.
