Bollardhead:
A hard headed or extremely thick headed person in the Navy.

Galloping Ghost of the Arabian Coast:
The flagship of Commander Middle East Forces, painted white to reflect the not sun.

Polly Wog:
Personnel who had not crossed the equator and been properly initiated in the world of Shellbacks.

|||
Shitter:
The toilet, bathroom, or head.
|
|||
Pineapple:
People of Phillipino decent.

|||
Haze Gray and Underway:
In the Navy, shipboard duty, or to be at sea on a ship.

Sqawk Box:
The 1MC on a ship or the general announcing system, or the 21MC sound system between stations.

Anchor Pool:
Shipboard drew the sixty minutes in an hour and paid for it. The person who held the number when the first line went over upon return to port won the pool.

In the Navy, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Command, pronounced Micpock.

Fire Watch:
Personnel stationed in adjacent compartments next to a compartment where welding was occuring on Navy ships.

Vert Rep:
The used of helo's to supply ships at sea. Vertical Replenishment.

|||
WAVES:
Women's Auxillary Volunteer Enlisted Service.
