Hollywood Shower:
A shower taken onboard a Navy ship where the water was left continously running during the shower...A big no no.

Navy Petty Officer who was charged with the maintenance of the evaporators onboard ship. Water was a valuable substance.

Piss Cutter:
Garrison cap worn by Navy Chiefs and Officers in Khaki uniform.

Dixie Cup:
Navy enlisted white hat, or commonly called the sailor hat.

Hope to Shit in your Flat Hat:
Navy term used to express emotion about something they really believed to be true.

Penquins:
Used to describe Navy personnel in the white top and black trouser uniform.

Salt and Peppers:
Navy uniform comprised of white shirts and black pants.

Charlie Noble:
The Navy designation for the vent used on the stove in the galley.

Zero's:
Navy enlisted term for Officers.

TAD:
Officially, Tempory Additional Orders, but Navy slang for Travelling Around Drunk.

GU11:
Designation used by old salts in the Navy to get boots to look for an aircraft, but really a sea gull.

B1RD:
A designation for a Navy aircraft.
|
|||
Belly Wash:
Term used in the Navy to describe soft drinks.
|
|||
Flying Piss Pot:
Term used in the Navy to describe the insignia used on a Boiler Tender or Boiler Technician's rating badage.

Khaki's:
Term used in the Navy by E-6 and below to designate Chiefs and Officers.
